Working Out at Home by Kathrine Eldridge, Wardrobe Stylist

Staying fit is extremely important to me. Luckily part of my workout routine hasn’t changed because of this pandemic. I think it’s so important to keep our health in the best shape possible. (Especially now because we want our immune systems to be strong.) Sharing my working out at home routine hopefully helps you in this endeavor. If you are looking for ways to stay in shape at home, keep reading to see my process.

My Fitness App by Jillian Michaels

I shared this app in a previous post. In my opinion, it’s the best way to stay in shape at home since we can’t go the gym. If we didn’t have this “shelter in place” order, I would also be doing Bikram yoga and enjoying my favorite Turbo Kick workout at the YMCA. Since those workouts are off the table, I’ve been sticking with the My Fitness app.

You should consider this app because it caters to every fitness level. There are so many choices when it comes time, fitness levels, and types of workouts. Yay for variety! As of now, I am working on the Intermediate 365 Day Fitness Plan. If I want to switch it up, I use the workout generator that let’s me decide what I want to work on and how long I want to workout. You can choose workouts that have no weights but I think having two sets of weights is extremely beneficial. If you are a newbie, I recommend 3 and 5 pound weights. (I use 5 and 8 pound weights.) The best part is that these workouts can be done at home. There are several more features on this app but I primarily focus on the workouts.

How I connect the My Fitness App to my TV.

Note – My husband bought this Apple lightning to digital AV adapter in order for me to see the workout on our large TV. I highly recommend this if the app is on your phone. It was a struggle in the beginning to watch on a small iPhone screen.

There is one catch. It does cost $14.99 a month for the app but there is a free 7 day trial. So why not try it now since you have all this time at home? By the way, this is not a sponsored post. I just love Jillian Michaels and her workouts. I have for years. Many people have asked me what I do to stay in shape so I just wanted to remind you all that this is an option since we are stuck at home.

What do you do to stay in shape during this time at home?

Missing My YMCA Turbo Kick Community

As I mentioned above, I love Turbo Kick. Click here to see my post on this workout. Working out at home everyday has made me realize how much I love and miss the community of people at the YMCA. The class is usually every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday led by our awesome instructor Annie Bleau. We are a community of all different ages, fitness levels, and backgrounds. It gives me joy to see all the familiar faces. If one of us is gone for a period of time, we notice it and check in with them when they return. I pray that we will be Turbo Kicking again in no time.

Have a wonderful day! XO
