Vested Interest in Palazzo Pants by Kathrine Eldridge, Wardrobe Stylist

I have a vested interest in palazzo pants. These floral trousers were featured on the blog in the beginning of the summer and I’m sharing them again but this time I added a new vest that I bought in DC. This easy breezy look is polished and put together and perfect for cocktails out on a rooftop.

I Have a Thing for Vests

I have a thing for vests which you can see in this look here and here. Vests add polish and interest to basic tops. Layer underneath with long sleeve tops and they work into fall and winter nicely. I found this one at South Moon Under in DC but you can find it on their website too. The lace up detail in the back and draped lapels are amazing details.

These sandals are also new and came from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Wear these now with almost any look and then pull then out in the fall to wear with tights or sheer hose. Go ahead and break that old rule of tight or hose with open toed shoes. Are there any more rules that are still binding in fashion? These sandals are pretty comfortable because of the block heel and I adore the edgy vibe they bring to any outfit you put together. Even though they aren’t on sale anymore, I still highly recommend them for your wardrobe.

5 Year Wedding Anniversary

It’s been a big week around here. On Wednesday it was my husband’s 50th birthday and it will be our 5th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow.  Because of commitments, we will be celebrating next weekend.  All I can say is that is has been an exciting and fulfilling journey with this man by side. I ask the Lord to bless our union as we move into more years of discovering what He has in store for us. I love you Michael and feel blessed to be your wife. XO
