Tie Dyed Tee by Kathrine Eldridge, Wardrobe Stylist

Let’s just say that turning 49 has had a rocky start. My health took a crazy turn the day after my birthday but glad that I am okay. Read on for the scoop. In other news, loving this tie dyed tee. Both the tee and jeans are from Nuuly and I’m thinking I need them both for my summer wardrobe.

Tie Dyed Coolness

I shared a couple of tie dyed pieces here on the blog recently. This print is so laid back and cool in my opinion. The tee is really soft and I love the loose but not baggy fit. The tee and skinny jeans are from Nuuly and they work so well together.

The distressed grey denim complements the pretty pastel colors of the print. The denim is by Free the People which is a brand I normally don’t gravitate to because of their boxy shapes. These jeans are completely opposite and so comfy. If you are interested in them, go a size up.

Health Scare – Welcome to 49!

On Tuesday evening I have stomach cramps that were really bothering me and I felt extremely tired. I decided to go to bed early. In the morning I had to wake up and go to the bathroom. (I will spare you the details.) When I got up from the toilet, I felt extremely woozy and sweaty. I could barely walk so I laid down on the carpet in our bedroom. I felt so bad and knew I had to find Michael so I got up again. The next thing you know, I was in the corner of our bedroom near the door looking up at Michael. He asked if I knew who he was. I guess I was out of sorts and passed out. (He heard a loud crash while he was making his morning coffee.)

Michael and I were so freaked out that he called an ambulance. After the paramedics got there, I felt a little better. They took me temperature and I had no fever and no symptoms of Covid. Praise Jesus!

We decided to have Michael take me to the emergency room instead of the ambulance. He dropped me off because he couldn’t come in for obvious reasons. The ER nurses and doctors gave me every test imaginable. Before we did the tests, the doctor on duty thought I passed out because of dehydration and laying down for so long. It was the perfect storm in my body. All the tests came back great except for my hemoglobin levels which were extremely low. They sent me home and recommended that I see my primary care doctor for a follow-up.

The next day I felt a lot better except feeling extremely sore from the fall. My neck hurts and parts of my head are sore when I touch it. Hopefully that will go away soon. I did go see my primary care doctor and she ran a bunch of blood tests. We hopefully should know more soon if there are any issues.

I just want to say that I was extremely grateful for the care that I received from the ER doctors and nurses at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. They eased my worries and got me out of there fairly quick. I can’t thank enough all the first responders, nurses, and doctors that do their jobs during this crazy pandemic. They are truly heroes.

Remember what I said in Monday’s post? Acceptance is my mantra for this year before 50. The acceptance of my health was first on the list. Here’s to 49!

Have a great weekend! XO
