Thanksgiving Look with a Ruffle Skirt and Hoodie Sweater by Kathrine Eldridge, Wardrobe Stylist

This week I am featuring two outfits that can worn for the day of Thanksgiving. They both are a mixture of comfort and style. First up is my Thanksgiving look with a ruffle skirt and hoodie sweater. I love that I can stay cozy with the sweater but still look stylish because of the ruffle high-low hem of the skirt.

Thanksgiving Look Courtesy of Nuuly

Both of these pieces are from my latest Nuuly box. I think what makes this outfit work is because of the monochromatic color scheme. The off white color scheme unifies these completely opposite wardrobe items. The contrast of textures gives the look interest. I love the high-low hem on this skirt. It’s difficult for me to wear midi skirts because of my height so this is a great way to cut the difference between mini and midi lengths.

More and more, I’m seeing the combination of casual and dressy in everyday fashion. I think this is happening because of our limitations with getting dressed up during this pandemic. (We aren’t limited but when you have nowhere to go, why put in the effort?) If you want to try this with your wardrobe, throw a sweater over a dress or add a casual tee to a pleated midi skirt. These are great ways to change up your wardrobe without buying new clothes.

My Gifts Guides are Up!

I have created a new tab at the top of my site with all of my gift guides. I have streamlined the categories a little bit this year. To see each of them, make sure to click on the drop down menu underneath the Holiday Shop tab and then move to the left. The gift guides that are featured are : Gifts for Him and Her, Beauty Gifts, Jewelry Gifts, Hostess Gifts, Cozy Gifts, and Stocking Stuffers. (Don’t forget to check out my holiday decor post from last week.) I will be updating these gift guides every week because I’m sure I will find more to add. You can also check out my Amazon storefront here for every more gift suggestions. Happy shopping!

Have a fabulous week! XO
