Romantic Wrap Top by Kathrine Eldridge, Wardrobe Stylist

Adding some color to this dreary winter with this romantic wrap top which is another Nuuly rental. I love the colorful print and the boho vibes it exudes. Read on to see how this top can work in almost any season.

Layering under Tops and Dresses

This styling trick is a must-have during the winter season. I loved this top when I saw it but realized that the material was very thin and not suitable worn by itself in these colder temps we are having. Adding a thin turtleneck underneath solved the problem and also gave a boost to the bold print.

The key to layering under tops and dresses is the fabric of the underpinning. I recommend sheer and fitted tops because they won’t create more bulk. In past posts, I have recommended a sheer long sleeve black top for layering. Adding a similar top that is a turtleneck would be one I would add as well to your wardrobe. There has to be a dress or top in your wardrobe that can be layered under. It’s a great way to create more outfits. Have you tried this trick?

Life Update

Just wanted to update you on things I’ve mentioned in past posts. We only have one more audition for my son Evan. He did really well on his auditions at the University of Illinois, Indiana University, and Northwestern. Indiana is at the top of list so please say some prayers that this happens for him. That was his best audition so I’m feeling optimistic.

Last week I finally did my recording for the NFA Convention Performers competition. I will share the recording on Wednesday’s post. (As long as I can figure out how to add it here.) I felt relieved and overjoyed that I got through it. Hoping another performing opportunity comes my way soon.

How was your Valentine’s Day weekend? My hubby surprised me with the coolest mood ring from Kendra Scott which I hope to share here soon. We went out for dinner with friends downtown on Saturday. He also bought tickets to see a candlelight concert by a string quartet for next Tuesday. I cannot wait! It’s sounds so romantic and right up my music alley.

Happy Monday! XO
