Pretty Paisley Shorts by Kathrine Eldridge, Wardrobe Stylist

I have a found a new friend in these pretty paisley shorts. In past blog posts, I have shared my dislike for shorts in general because I never can find ones that fit right and that I feel comfortable wearing. I hit the jackpot with these!

Cherie Shorts by Antik Batik

Yay for shorts that are flattering and fun! I’ve been trying to incorporate more shorts in my summer wardrobe. It’s a hard task because my legs have varicose veins and I can’t stand super fitted denim cut offs. (Those always squeeze my thighs and make them look like sausages.) Usually I resort to skinny ankle jeans and pants but with my symptoms of peri-menopause, I need to feel cool. (You older readers know what I mean. I digress.)

The fit of these shorts is perfect because they don’t grab at the leg. I don’t mind the shorts’ length because that helps with making my legs look longer. I chose to dress these up with this gorgeous sheer sweater that also came in my my most recent Nuuly box. The sweater works well with early summer because it’s sheer. (There is an attached cami that goes with it!) The pink color and ruffled sleeves are nice complement to this pink and blue paisley print of the shorts. What do you think of this dressed up summer look?

Things are Opening Up!

I am so happy to report that Illinois has just moved to Phase 3 guidelines for reopening. We can now go to hair salons, dine outside at restaurants, and gather in groups of 10 or less. Yay! I can report that I have already got a pedicure, got my son’s haircut, and have scheduled by own hair appointment. (Gotta wait until June 11. Trying to be patient.) I think getting my hair cut and colored will be the most joyous occasion. Lol! What are you looking forward to when things open up where you are?

Have a terrific week! XO
