I am still relishing summer but it’s never too early to start thinking about your fall wardrobe.  I was eagerly waiting for Nordstrom to open the doors yesterday morning so I could start perusing the goods.  Here’s the scoop on what I found and what you need to focus on.

Classic Wardrobe Staples

It’s all about wardrobe staples! When I work with clients, I try to get them focused on these type of pieces because they work for the long haul. I have a tab on my site that is dedicated to these type of items.  Click here to see my list of staples. I added captions to share why I think each item is a good buy. Take a look below at my top 10 staples from this large list. Just click on the image to buy.

My Favorite Anniversary Finds

I’ve already seen a tons of blogs dedicated to this sale and it can be overwhelming so I decided to focus on what I loved and had to own. Take a look at what I picked up yesterday in the collage below.  Just click on the image to buy.

From left to right, top to bottom

I needed a new leather jacket because my old one has a hole in the elbow.  This one by Trouve fits the bill of what I look for in a leather jacket.  The draping moves the eye and the fit is impeccable. Plus, there are no extra bells and whistles which could make it look dated. This jacket should last for several seasons.

This cozy cowl neck sweater vest is the perfect transition piece.  You can wear it at the end of summer by itself but then wear a long sleeved tee underneath when it gets cold.  I adore the blush color.

My hair is getting longer and more unmanageable which means I need better styling tools. My hairdresser recommended this flat iron so when I saw it at the sale I knew it was destiny.

It alway a good idea to have gifts on the ready for last minute guests or parties.  These candles here and here are so perfect for this.  You can’t beat the price of these elegant candles sets.

Kut from the Kloth is by far the best jean brand under $100.  A black pair of skinnies is a good idea in my book because they go with everything and can be dressed up easily for a night out or worn for casual Friday at work.

How can you deny the coolness of a pop of red in a look?  This saddle bag by Vince Camuto can make any basic look not look basic.  Last year, I bought a leopard cross body bag from Vince Camuto and it still looks fabulous after lots of wear.

As I said before, I need better styling tools.  My blogger friend, Hillary from Style in a Small Town, recommended this hair dryer to me. She said hers dried her long hair in 5 minutes.  I am excited to give it a go.

Plaid is a must-have print for fall.  These leggings are so fun and are perfect for casual weekends.

I probably don’t need another pair of booties but I fell in love with the gorgeous color of these Sam Edelman ones.  I always go for cognac or beige when it comes to booties so this is a nice change.

Last, but not least, are these Cole Haan leopard flats.  You can never go wrong with leopard print in my book.  It’s a neutral that always comes back.

So which ones of these is your fave?

I plan to continue sharing this sale throughout it’s duration on my Wednesday posts.  Please let me know if there is something you want me to cover or have questions about. I love to help! Have a wonderful weekend.
