March Favorites - Kathrine Eldridge, Wardrobe Stylist

I don’t usually do favorite things posts but I enjoy sharing what I love and what inspires me.  Here is what’s on my radar at the moment in no particular order.

March Favorites - Kathrine Eldridge, Wardrobe StylistBrene’ Brown’s Rising Strong – The Reckoning. The Rumble. The Revolution – This book is being discussed at my weekly mom’s group and we are enjoying every minute of it.  Every chapter has helped me discover more about myself and how I can move forward in struggles that I encounter.  I can go on and on about how amazing this read is but I will let you discover that for yourself.  Here is a synopsis from the jacket cover. There’s no way I can do it justice when trying to explain it myself.

Walking into our stories of hurt can feel dangerous.  But the process of regaining our footing in the midst of struggle is where our courage is tested and our values are forged. Our stories of struggle can be big ones, like the loss of a job or the end of a relationship, or smaller ones, like a conflict with a friend of colleague. Regardless of magnitude or circumstance, the rising strong process is the same: We reckon with our emotions and get curious about what we’re feeling; we rumble with our stories until we get to a place of truth; and we live this process every day, until it becomes a practice and creates nothing short of a revolution in our lives. Rising strong after a fall is how we cultivate wholeheartedness.

Sonia Kashuk’s Creme Blush in Petal – On a recent Target run, I just happened upon this blush.  I have been looking for a cream blush because of my drier skin. (The powders sometime love to settle in my fine lines.) This one goes incredibly smooth and lasts all day.  I love that it looks natural on and you can gradually build it up to a more dramatic look if you want.  It’s such a pretty color on and it’s under $10!

Forever 21 Chained Drop Statement Earrings – These were a major score for me at Forever 21.  They aren’t very heavy and have just the right amount of elegance mixed in with a little boho chic.  They really look more expensive in person. Another bonus – they are only $8!

Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser/Muslin Cloth – I discovered this product from one of my Birchboxes.  I love the smell because of the eucalyptus essential oil and rosemary which are also natural astringents. This creamy cleanser used with the 100% cotton muslim cloth (you need to use the cloth) really helped get rid of my dry skin and clogged pores in my t-zone.  The cooling sensation at the end of cleaning your face is also a plus.  I am hooked on this product.

Warby Parker’s Sims Eyeglasses in Striped Sassafras – These were my favorite frames from the start.  I had a gamut of responses from my readers and there was no clear consensus.  I think seeing them in person really helps.  My husband, my photographer, and myself thought these were the best.  Warby Parker got them to me in less than a week and I couldn’t be happier with the quality of these frames.  Their Home-Try On program is the bomb!

Happy Wednesday!
