June Beauty Favorites by Kathrine Eldridge, Wardrobe Stylist

Time for an update on what I’m loving lately and these June beauty favorites are focused more on bodycare rather than skincare.  Read on to see what has come a part of my daily routine.

Bodycare Faves

Daily Dual Repair by Hand MD Skincare – I was approached by Hand MD to try this product and I jumped at the chance to give it a try. My hands are starting to show my age and I never thought that I needed to care for them like I do my face. Here’s their description of what this product does:

A clinically proven anti-aging treatment to prevent and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The anti-aging serum rejuvenates with Retinol and powerful Peptides, while the antioxidant-rich moisturizer deeply hydrates and protects the upper layer of the skin against damage.

I have been using this product for almost 3 weeks and I do feel and see a difference in the smoothness of my hands. (Click here to see my Insta post to see the before and after shots.) The smell is wonderful and light and my bottle is almost empty so I will be buying this again soon. They have a 20% off sale going on right now as an added bonus.

Organic Mango Body Butter from Sky Organics – This is a non-greasy body butter that is not scented and can be used on the scalp, hair, and body. I like staying away from heavily scented lotion in the summertime. This product helps with anti-aging and is best put on right after you get our of the shower. Another tip for summer with this product is that you can use it on insect bites. The one problem I have with this butter is that it is hard in the container. You really need to warm up the product for it to glide smoothly on the skin. Add essentials oils to increase the benefits of this butter if you prefer.

New Fragrance – Trish McEvoy Sexy No. 9

Sexy No. 9 Blackberry & Vanilla Musk Eau de Parfum– My love of Trish McEvoy’s fragrances continues because her No. 6 scent is one that I have worn for several years. This one jumped out because of it’s mix of Blackberry and Vanilla Musk and is the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. (The note of mandarin satisfies my citrus craving too.) Sometime I mix it with the No. 6.  Have you tried either of these?

My time in Dallas

My husband and I have a wonderful time in Dallas. Chris Stapleton and the Eagles were incredible even though the traffic to and from the concert was over-the-top crazy. I forgot that we were seeing them in a stadium!

The weather was hot but we stayed cool by staying indoors by visiting The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza which documents the assassination of JFK. It was an incredible tour and we got to see where the Lee Harvey Oswald shot our president. Sobering tour but fascinating at the same time.

We also toured the George W. Bush Presidential Library. I had a never been to a presidential library before but now I want to see others. There was an exhibit on the First Ladies and there was also a part of the library that covered 9/11. It was riveting and very emotional. There is a beam from the Twin Towers in this part of the library. If you are in Dallas, you need to check this out.
