Getting Strappy in Navy by Kathrine Eldridge, Wardrobe Stylist

Getting strappy in navy with this top from Venus. As I mentioned in last week’s post, I received some items from Venus from my husband for my birthday. This one was a keeper. Who could resist the cool caged neckline?

Classic Navy in Summer

Navy is a year-round neutral in my opinion but I love it even more because of the nautical vibes it brings in summer. I will say that this strappy neckline is anything but classic but the color makes it less edgy. When there is a mixture of styles in a piece of clothing, I naturally gravitate to it.

I kept the look monochrome by wearing this top with darker skinny jeans. The effect makes me look taller. The wedges continue this idea. (Still obsessed with these sandals. Been wearing them everyday!) The neutral bag and earrings add some contrast. I would love to pair this top with white jeans or a fitted cotton pencil skirt.

Do you wear navy in summer? I think it’s a nice alternative to black. Consider adding this neutral if your wardrobe is almost all black. And yes, you can mix black and navy. I’ve shared my obsession with this color combo many times. Step outside the box ladies!

Family Vacation Time

I am so excited to be heading out with my family to the Northwest to visit Mt. Rainier National Park, Olympic National Park, and the San Juan Islands. This is our last big trip before Evan heads off the college. With that in mind, I will be taking a much-needed blog break. My next post won’t be until July 1st. I won’t be posting on Instagram but will be sharing all that we encounter on my stories. I promise lots of breathtaking shots of nature.

Have a wonderful couple of weeks and see you in July! XO
