Floral Maxi Skirt from Day to Night

Sharing how to style a floral maxi skirt from day to night with this flirty skirt from last summer. These type of skirts are everywhere right now so finding the balance for work is key.  Make this piece versatile by layering a blazer over.  Show some skin when you head out for cocktails on the rooftop.

Ruffle Maxi Skirts for Work

Ruffles are still going strong in the trend department.  So how to keep it suitable for work? Keep the rest of your look clean and minimal like I did here. A structured blazer can keep you covered up and streamlined. Make sure that the blazer doesn’t overwhelm your frame because you want to see the details of the skirt and the shape of your body.  Don’t have a blazer? Go ahead and add a draped cardigan that isn’t too long.  It should hug your body without being too clingy.

From Day to Night

When it’s time to head out for happy hour, take off the blazer and you are ready to go! I recently purchased this bandeau top to wear with this long vest and found that it worked perfectly with this skirt as well.  I couldn’t think of a better look to wear in the heat of summer. The beaded necklace adds to the summer vibe and contrasts nicely with the yellow floral print.

The Royal Wedding

As I write this, the royal wedding is happening. Dying over Megan’s dress! It is so elegant and classic and is from the house of Givenchy. Givenchy is French of course but the designer, Claire Waight Keller, is British. The classic neckline (boatneck), sleek fit and shape, and extra long train are stunningly beautiful. The only embellishment was the tiara which was dazzling. Did you like this classic look?
