Back to School Boho Chic Dress

I am never one to shy away from bohemian looks so when I saw this dress at the cutest boutique in Tulsa, I had to try it on. This dress packs a punch with all its trends wrapped into one.

This dress has all the trends of the moment right now – a floral and patchwork print, bell sleeves, and a boho chic vibe. I normally don’t go for high necklines like this Peter Pan Collar but the details of the print and the long bow tie help bring the eye down. What really sold me on this piece were the sleeves because they are bell shaped and pleated.  Who could resist these sleeves! Since we are moving into fall, I naturally had to pair this dress with my Sam Edelman booties from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. What do you think of this dress?

Must-See Boutiques in Tulsa

When my husband and I were in Tulsa a couple of weeks ago, we ventured out into the downtown Tulsa area and found a couple of boutiques that were full of goodies. The criss cross top from Friday’s post here was from Beau & Arrow while this dress was from Modern Mess.  Follow Modern Mess on Instagram here because I adore all their chic clothes and accessories. (Love their Insta Stories!) The young owner really impressed me with her drive and sense of style. It’s a very small space but was packed with a lot of trendy but affordable clothes. I love supporting local businesses like this.

So how was everyone’s weekend? The hubby and I had a date night at a wonderful Asian restaurant on Saturday and the family and I went to the first game of the Chicago Bears season.  (They almost won!) New York Fashion Week is in full swing now and I sure wish I could be there. I love watching several of my favorite bloggers take on NYC. (What Would V Wear, Happily Audrey, and Style My Dreams) Any tips on how to get there next year would be appreciated.  Have a terrific week!
